In the first week of May, solar production in Germany rose by 12% and in the Iberian Peninsula by 2.6%. In Spain, PV and solar thermal energy as a whole totaled 143 GWh on May 6, the highest value in history, largely favoured by high PV energy production, with an instantaneous production of 12 335 GWh on the day . In Portugal, May 7 and 8 were the highest solar production days in history, with a total of more than 10 GWh per day. The French market recorded its third-highest value on record on May 7, at 75 GWh, after 79 GWh on April 26 and 78 GWh on May 1 this year.
