Today, Mindian Electric Co., Ltd. released the latest string-level rapid shutdown solution for rooftop string photovoltaic systems – RSD system, which is launched in China, the United States and Thailand simultaneously.

More powerful functions, make the system more secure

The MOREDAY RSD system complies with the current universal and authoritative electrical code standards in the world – the National Electrical Code (NEC) 2017/2020, UL1741 and SunSpec RSD requirements, meets fire safety standards, and has industry-leading fast shutdown functions. Once the photovoltaic power station is in danger, the RSD system can reduce the voltage of the photovoltaic system to a safe level within 30 seconds, fully guaranteeing the safety of firefighting and maintenance personnel.

The MOREDAY fast shutdown solution includes a fast shutdown RSD and a transmitter, and is used with an emergency stop switch and a string inverter to form a complete fast shutdown system. MOREDAY fast turn-off meets diversified usage scenarios. Among them, RSD-1C is connected to one photovoltaic module, while RSD-2C can connect two modules at the same time, and the two models support input working voltage ranging from 8V to 80V. The MOREDAY fast shutdown system increases the operating efficiency of photovoltaic systems and modules, requiring a minimum starting voltage of only 8 volts.

Another highlight of the MOREDAY RSD system is that it has a wide input current, supports 15A, 20A and 25A, and is compatible with mainstream 166/182/210 photovoltaic modules. The two products are equipped with input cables of 0.15 and 0.45 meters and output cables of 1.2 and 2.4 meters respectively, and the cable length can also be customized according to customer needs.

The fast shutdown system can operate in the range of minus 40 ℃ to minus 85 ℃, is quiet and low noise, and supports system voltages up to 1000V/1500V. The system features Power Line Communication (PLC) for easy and quick installation without the need for additional network settings.
